out the newest Structural all-around Wood Screw on the market – the AXIS™ for
exterior use. This screw has been redesigned from top to bottom, listening to
the feedback from customers. Some features are so new and groundbreaking that
they even have patents pending. An example of this is the Turbine Ribs™
underneath the head. They provide for a close to perfect countersinking finish,
while at the same time the “cup shaped” head gives extra holding power
and clamping force – all without the risk of wood splitting. Another
example is the Twin Blades™ which has twice the effect of standard knurls on
the market. The very top of the head has an elegant finish provided by the
Horizon Curve™ head design. The AXIS screws all come with an engineered point,
which is sure to grip into the wood almost immediately and will save you time
on the job site. Being for exterior use the coating applied is the ZYTEC™ XT,
which can be used for most outdoor applications, except for when stainless
steel should be used. AXIS can be used on a wide variety of projects – try them
Structural Exterior Wood Screw has following quite special features:
Fast Start Tip™
Allows it to have a prompt grip as it
includes sharp threads going all the way to the tip of the screw. Furthermore,
the thread cut inserted greatly reduces any splitting effect and helps minimize
the driving torque necessary to engage the wood.
A subtle curvature of the head of the
screw allowing it to provide professional and elegant
architectural results. The Finish Ring positioned underneath the head likewise
administers a refined finish result as it cuts the top fibers in the wood taking
an extra step in countersinking.
A set of knurls
that cut fast to
dramatically reduce heat and friction occurring on the
shank while lessening the load on the drill. Furthermore, Twin Blades™ grant an
outshining performance as they remove debris much faster than a typical knurl
of a fastener. Patents pending.
Our Turbine Ribs™
with patents pending allow the screw to cut immediately into the wood providing
an elegant and professional finish with maximum wood contact. Additionally, the
cup shaped, countersinking head of the screw increases holding power and diminishes the
risk of wood splitting.
